Proverbs 9:17-18 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
"I believed in once saved always saved", says the greedy of heart and sinful "professing Christian". Sin is Death-Darkness- "The wrath of God!"

HOLINESS-PEACE!__If the Son therefore shall make you free {from sin}, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36) Then said Jesus to those ...which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, {to be from this worlds lust and love for it} then are ye my disciples indeed; (John 8:31)
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (Romans 2:28-29) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13)"THE ONLY JEW GOD LOVES"

Deuteronomy 6:25  And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, “as he hath commanded us”.

[The just shall live by faith not works of self-righteousness]

Deuteronomy 9:4  Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, “For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land:” but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee. {sound familiar in religious circles just the opposite?}

[1st Samuel 16:7]  But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but “the LORD looketh on the heart”.

1 Samuel 12:20  And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: [desiring a king rather than God] yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;

[notice even though they did this God stays with them in showing Himself strong on their behalf as long as their King and them follow God’s word as He says it.]

1st Samuel 12:24  Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

2nd Samuel 22:21  The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness [the keeping of God’s word]: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

[1st Kings 3:6]  And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

[remember David committed murder also and was punished but David did not depart from the lord.]

Leviticus 26:19  And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

2 Chronicles 32:26  Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

Job 34:1-9  Furthermore Elihu answered and said, Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge. For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.  Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

For Job hath said, “I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment. Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.”  What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water? Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men. For he hath said, “It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God”.

Job 34:10-15  Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.  “For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways”. Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment. Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?  If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;  All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

Job 34:18-19  Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly? How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

Job 34:21  For his eyes [God’s] are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

Job 34:23  For he [God] will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God. [God doesn’t make you sick for His pleasure to test you for it would be contrary to his very words and nature in dealing with His own.]

[Why would Elihu be telling Job this unless Elihu is relating information about Job]

Job 34:24-29  He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.  Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.  He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;  Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:  So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted. When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

Job 34:30  That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

Job 34:31-32  Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more: That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

Job 34:35-37  Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom. My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.  For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.

Job 35:1-3  Elihu spake moreover, and said, Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, “My righteousness is more than God's?” For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
